Description of Formic Acid:
Formic acid is an organic compound with a chemical formula of HCOOH and a molecular weight of 46.03. It is the simplest carboxylic acid. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. Formic acid is a weak electrolyte, but its aqueous solution is weakly acidic and highly corrosive, which can stimulate skin blisters.
