Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC) is a chemical compound used as disinfectant, biocide, industrial deodorant and detergent. It is found in some newer water purification tablets/filters. Used as a disinfectant, it can be used for swimming pools, drinking water disinfection, preventive disinfection, and environmental disinfection in various places. It can be used for disinfection of silkworm rearing, livestock, poultry, and fish breeding.
